Quran From The Devil?

A common claim that missionaries make is that the Quran is from the Devil. These people make such base claims out of their own lack of knowledge and the fact the their extreme devotion to their faith renders them with a very ‘black and white’ perspective; they generally view things that oppose their faith as evil and devil-inspired.

This is because whenever a Muslim intends to read the Quran he/she will seek refuge from the Devil and if we look into the Quran we realize that the Quran teaches us that the Devil is an enemy to mankind,
‘O ye people! Eat of what is on earth, Lawful and good; and do not follow the footsteps of the evil one, for he is to you an avowed enemy.’ Quran: 2:168
So the obvious conclusion we draw from this knowledge is that the Quran is not from the Devil as the Devil would not teach such teachings. Even the obligation for believers to honour their parents and give charity! (That the Quran also teaches)

The Devil teaches people to worship One God? He makes no sense

The Quran states,
’If any take the Evil One for their intimate, what a dreadful intimate he is!’ Quran: 4:38
’When thou dost read the Quran, seek Allah's protection from Satan the Rejected one.’ Quran: 16:98
’O ye who believe! Follow not Satan's footsteps’ Quran: 24:21
’Verily Satan is an enemy to you: so treat him as an enemy.’ Quran: 35:6
If the Quran was the work of the Devil, the Devil would not defame himself and preach to worship God.

Islam forbids alcohol – Christianity does not?

Why would the Devil teach Muslims NOT to drink alcohol? The Bible on the other hand, allows people to drink. So why is it that the Quran has saved millions of children from alcohol-related diseases while the Bible has not? So this is further humiliation and refutation poured upon the mindless claim of the missionaries.

Surely God gives us wholesome teachings (ie forbidding alcohol) and Satan teaches us impure teachings (i.e drinking alcohol).

The missionaries hereby, make no sense.

Hadith - “Hang your whip where your wife can see it”

This is reported to be a hadith, and many missionaries and Islamophobes use this to claim that woman are inferior and men can beat their wives.

It is in an inaccurate hadith.

The hadith is unauthentic. Its chain of transmission is rather weak; hence it cannot be cited as a proof

Secondly, it is contradicted by the sound principles of the Divine Law and the well-known practices of Muhammad He said, "
“The best of you is the one who is best to his spouse; and I am the best to my spouse; it is only the noble men who shall honour women; it is only the most despicable ones who shall dishonour them.”
The fact that Muhammad was the most compassionate in dealing with his family (including his wife and children) is well attested by the testimonials of those who interacted with him on  a daily basis; thus Anas b. Mailk who served the Porphet for ten years declared,
“I never saw anyone who demonstrated such compassion and love towards his family as the Messenger of Allah did.”
Furtheremore, Aishah herself (the Prophet’s wife) said,
“The Prophet never struck anyone with his hands: a man or a woman!”
The Prophet respected woman and consulted them even on serious matters, often acting upon their advice. So in conclusion, it is at once contrary to the sound principles of the Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah for anyone to suggest that Islam permits men to coerce women into submission through threats and intimidation’s.

Bukhari – “The Prophet used to go round (have sexual relations with) all his wives in one night, and he had nine wives.”

Islamophobes and missionaries like to twist and mistranslate hadiths to justify their bias agendas. With this hadith, they quote Sahih Bukhari and claim that Muhammad had sexual intercourse with all of his wives in one night.

They use this:
Bukhari (62:6) – “The Prophet used to go round (have sexual relations with) all his wives in one night, and he had nine wives.”
But this isn’t even correct! Here is the translation.

Translation: Narrated Anas: The Prophet used to visit all his wives in one night, and he had nine wives.” Bukhari Volume 7 Book 62 Hadith 6
The actual version shows there is nothing special in the above hadith, It only shows that Muhammad was a responsible and caring person and cared for all of his wives.

If I visit all my family members in the night, does it mean I am having sexual intercourse with them? NOT AT ALL. According to the missionaries and Islamophobes rational it does. This is how irrational they are.

Suicide Bombing Allowed?

Suicide bombers who claim to be Muslims, fill our news and little do people know that their actions are directly against the teachings of Islam.

The Quran clearly states:
‘And spend of your substance in the cause of Allah, and make not your own hands contribute to your destruction; but do good; for Allah loveth those who do good.’ Quran: 2:195
‘O ye who believe! Eat not up your property among yourselves in vanities: but let there be amongst you traffic and trade by mutual good-will: nor kill or destroy yourselves: for verily Allah hath been to you Most Merciful.’ Quran: 4:29
It says later on...
‘If anyone does that in rancour and injustice – soon shall We cast him into the Fire: and easy it is for Allah.’ Quran: 4:30
Suicide bombers commit a transgressing sin, as suicide (especially when killing other people too) is an unjust and non-peaceful way to solve issues. Unfortunately, the majority of explosions kill the innocent. And even this contradicts a teaching set out by God in the Quran.
‘We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone slew a person―unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land― it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if anyone saved a life it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people…’ Quran: 5:32
‘… Then although there came to them Our Messengers with clear Signs, yet even after that many of them continued to commit excesses in the land.’ Quran: 5:32
‘Nor did We send before thee (as Messengers) any but men, whom We did inspire― (men) living in human habitations… There is, in their stories instruction for men endued with understanding.’ Quran: 12:109-112
It is not only in the Quran, where suicide is severely warned upon and looked down upon, but even in the sayings of Muhammad (PBUH). Here are some Hadith that show us that even suicide bombing was looked down upon by the Prophet:

It is reported that Muhammad (PBUH) said:
“Whoever purposely throws himself from a mountain and kills himself, will be in the (Hell) Fire falling down into it and abiding therein perpetually forever; and whoever drinks poison and kills himself with it, he will be carrying his poison in his hand and drinking it in the (Hell) Fire wherein he will abide eternally forever; and whoever kills himself with an iron weapon, will be carrying that weapon in his hand and stabbing his abdomen with it in the (Hell) Fire wherein he will abide eternally forever.” (Bukhari)
“He who commits suicide by throttling shall keep on throttling himself in the Hell Fire (forever) and he who commits suicide by stabbing himself shall keep on stabbing himself in the Hell-Fire.” (Bukhari)
“Do not wish for death, for the terror of the place whence one looks down is severe. It is part of a man’s happiness that his life should be long and Allah Who is Great and Glorious, should supply him with repentance.” (Tirmidhi)
“… none amongst you should make a request for death, and do not call for it before it comes, for when any of you dies, he ceases (to do good) deeds and the life of a believer is not prolonged but for goodness.” (Muslim)
As we can see, suicide bombing is clearly condemned in Islam, the Quran and even the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad.

Allah Is A Moon God?

Many missionaries like to preach that Allah is a moon God. But upon study, using understanding and Islamic sources, we find that this allegation lacks accuracy and is indeed false.

The word ‘Allah’ is not new and not confined to Islam only

The word ‘Allah’ is the Arabic term for ‘The God’. It has no plural or gender. It is also used by the Arab Christians and Jews for God.
  1. The Arabic Bible that has been used by Arab Christians, for the past 2000 years since the time Jesus (PBUH), refers to God as ‘Allah’.
  2. The Hebrew Bible refers to God as ‘Elohim’ which is similar to Allah/Ellah/Allahom.
  3. The word that corresponds to Allah in the Aramaic language – the mother tongue of Jesus (PBUH) – and used in the Aramaic Bible, is ‘Elaha’.
  4. The word that corresponds to ‘Allah’ in Syriac language, and used in the Syriac Bible, is ‘Alaha’.
  5. Islam forbids representing God in any shape or form. He is Imageless. Among God’s 99 beautiful attributes, God is described as “Al-Batin”, meaning the “The Hidden One”.
The moon however, is not always hidden! Even Arabs at the time of Islam's beginning could see it!

People practicing idolatry have worshiped the moon in the past. But the Quran says it is clearly forbidden:
‘Among His Signs are the Night and the Day and the sun and Moon. Adore not the Sun and the Moon but adore Allah Who created them if it is Him ye wish to serve.’ Quran: 41:37
Even the moon prostrates to God according to the Quran:
‘Seest thou not that to Allah bow down in worship all things that are in the heavens and on earth― the sun, the moon, the stars; the hills, the trees the animals; and a great number among mankind?’ Quran: 22:18
God cannot worship Himself. So therefore, Allah cannot be a moon God.

The moon God of Pre-Islamic Arabia was Hubal

The moon God was in fact a deity called Hubal, and was also destroyed as Muhammad (PBUH) broke all the idols at the Kaaba.

Some wrongfully claim that the name Allah was the title given to Hubal prior to the advent of Islam. Hubal was an idol, and Islam is strict in forbidding idol-worship:
‘Say: Will ye worship, besides Allah, something which hath no power either to harm or benefit you?’ Quran: 5:76
Being polytheistic, and having another God besides Allah is an unforgivable sin, called shirk. Therefore, it is irrational to think that Muhammad (PBUH) would have changed the names, especially when there are various reports that Hubal was destroyed.

Clear distinctions between Allah and Hubal

During the Battle of Uhud, a distinction is made between the followers of Allah and the followers of Hubal is made clear by the statements of Muhammad and Abu Sufyan according to Hadith.

Ibn Hisham narrates in the biography of Muhammad (A. Guillaume, The Life Of Muhammad: A Translation Of Ibn Ishaq’s Sirat Rasul Allah, 2004):
‘When Abu Sufyan wanted to leave he went to the top of the mountain and shouted loudly, saying: “You have done a fine work; victory in war goes by turns. Today in exchange for the day (of Badr). Show your superiority, Hubal,” i.e. vindicate your religion. The Prophet told Umar to get up and respond to him and shout: “Allah is the most high and the most glorious. We are not equal. Our dead are in Paradise; and your dead are in Hell-Fire!”
The other incident during the battle narrated in Sahih al-Bukhari:
‘Abu Sufyan ascended a high place and said, “Is Muhammad present amongst the people?” The Prophet said, “Do not answer him.” Abu Sufyan said, “Is the son of Abu Quhafa present among the people?” The Prophet said, “Do not answer him.” Abu Sufyan said, “Is the son of Al-Khattab amongst the people?” He then added, “All these people have been killed, for, were they alive, they would have replied.” On that, ’Umar could not help saying, “You are a liar, O enemy of Allah! Allah has kept what will make you unhappy.” Abu Sufyan said, “Superior may be Hubal!” On that the Prophet said (to his companions), “Reply to him.” They asked, “What may we say?” He said, “Say: Allah is More Elevated and More Majestic!” Abu Sufyan said, “We have (the idol) al-‘Uzza, whereas you have no ‘Uzza!” The Prophet said (to his companions), “Reply to him.” They said, “What may we say?” The Prophet said, “Say: Allah is our Helper and you have no helper.” Hadith: Volume 5, Book 59, Number 375
According to the historical Hadith, both Hubal and Allah are disassociated with one another.

Therefore, Allah cannot be, and is not Hubal.

God has always been One and Omnipotent. It has been the corrupted teachings of men who have led to set up other deities alongside Him in the past and even today. But Allah remains to be the One God, preached by all the Prophets who came into this world.
